Role Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced Global Business Development Manager – CRO with 7+ years of proven experience in selling clinical research services. The ideal candidate brings a strong industry network, deep understanding of clinical trials, and a consistent track record of revenue growth across Pharma, Medical Device, and Nutraceutical sponsors.

This is a senior, client-facing role with global exposure, working closely with executive leadership and delivery teams.

Role Summary

Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Drive global sales strategy for CRO services (Phase I–IV, observational studies, post-marketing, RWE).
  • Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities with Pharma, Medical Device, and Nutraceutical companies.
  • Manage the complete sales lifecycle: lead generation → proposal → negotiation → contract closure.
  • Achieve and exceed annual revenue, pipeline, and growth targets.

Client & Sponsor Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term strategic relationships with sponsors, biotech companies, and startups.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by understanding client development strategies and aligning CRO solutions.
  • Lead sponsor meetings, capability presentations, and executive-level discussions.

Proposal, RFP & Contract Management

  • Lead and coordinate RFP/RFI responses, proposals, budgets, and bid defenses.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Medical Writing, Data Management, Regulatory, and Finance teams.
  • Support negotiations of MSAs, SoWs, budgets, and confidentiality agreements.

Industry Networking & Market Expansion

  • Leverage a strong industry network within Pharma, Medical Device, and Nutraceutical sectors.
  • Represent Clinvigilant Research at industry conferences, trade shows, investigator meetings, and networking events.
  • Track market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities in global clinical research.

Strategic Partnerships & Growth Initiatives

  • Develop strategic alliances with sponsors, labs, technology vendors, and regional CRO partners.
  • Support expansion into new geographies, therapeutic areas, and service offerings.
  • Provide market intelligence to leadership for strategic decision-making.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 7+ years of business development or sales experience in a CRO
  • Strong network with Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, and Nutraceutical companies
  • Proven success selling clinical trial services and eClinical solutions
  • Solid understanding of ICH-GCP, FDA, EMA, MHRA, CDSCO regulations
  • Experience with global or multi-country clinical trials preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Medicine, or Business (MBA preferred)
